Alexandre Fournier Biville is an author and photographer. He lives in Marseille. He turned to photography at the age of 23 as a self-taught artist. He trained with Yves Jeanmougin between 2014 and 2017.
He regularly carries out commissioned work for literary festivals while conducting his own personal photographic research in Normandy (France), Greece and Corsica.
He has been developing the Rebetiko Proastia project since 2022. This is a black-and-white immersion in the places where rebetiko is currently performed in the working-class districts of the Greek capital. He plans to continue this project in Turkey, where the ancestral musical roots of this genre originate, and is currently working alongside his wanderings through Athenian taverns on a short film project and the writing of a novel about the life and passion of a Greek record collector.
